On Saturday, October 7, 2017, the American Sports Council (ASC) will celebrate its 15th Anniversary at the historic Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC. The event will begin at 4:00 pm with discussions about athletics, policy, and politics during the panel presentation in the afternoon, and continue the conversations over dinner.
The anniversary celebration will include a panel discussion of the issues surrounding the application of Title IX to athletics. The Committee for Justice President Curt Levey will participate in the panel. He will be joined by Pacific Legal Foundation Senior Attorney Joshua Thompson.
Additionally, keynote speakers Kerry McCoy and Stuart Taylor will offer their insights from different professional experiences. Coach McCoy is a highly respected two-time Olympian and two-time NCAA Champion, and coach of the University of Maryland wrestling team. Mr. Taylor is an award winning author and journalist.
