INTERNSHIP AT THE COMMITTEE FOR JUSTICE

The Committee for Justice (CFJ) – the leading organization devoted to promoting constitutionalist judicial nominees and the rule of law – is seeking interns to work in our office in downtown Washington, D.C.

CFJ interns will have a unique opportunity to get an inside look at the political battle over nominations to the Supreme Court and lower federal courts. And they will learn about the larger debate over constitutional interpretation and judicial philosophy that impacts issues ranging from abortion and gay rights to free speech and the War on Terror.

Interns will assist CFJ staff with a wide variety of activities, including research, blogging, public relations, web site development, and administrative duties. In addition, we include our interns in a variety of meetings in order to expose them to the behind-the-scenes workings of Washington.

Applicants should have good research skills, an interest in the legal system, and a healthy distrust of judicial activism.

To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter to CFJ’s executive director Curt Levey at clevey@committeeforjustice.org. A short writing sample is helpful but not required. The cover letter should include a description of what you are looking for in an internship and, most importantly, the reasons for your interest in CFJ. Also, please let us know the dates and number of hours per week that you are available to work.
